About us
Since the 1960s, the Richter family has been synonymous with genuine hospitality and dining in Osnabrück. The story began in the building’s basement with “TaTou,” which later became “Castell.”
The next step followed in 1981 with the opening of “Landsknecht” on the ground floor. In 1986, the dining options were expanded to include “Erkerstube” on the first floor. Finally, a new chapter began in 1991: “Landsknecht” was transformed into “Treibhaus”—an establishment that remains in operation today and has become an integral part of our family business over the years.

Over the decades, names, premises, and concepts have evolved. Yet one thing has remained constant: our joy in welcoming guests and ensuring they have a wonderful time in a family-friendly atmosphere.
Today, the Treibhaus combines this long-standing tradition with regional cuisine, fresh ingredients, and personal service. Whether for a relaxed dinner, a family celebration, or a sociable get-together, we look forward to welcoming you.
